Illustrative model book · 12 to 17 lines

Edition 2026-10-H2 · Cut at the Thu, Oct 15 close · live for the Fri, Oct 16 session

Editorial research for self-directed investors. Illustrative model book — not investment advice, not a managed account, not a recommendation to buy or sell.

How the book is cut
  1. Cadence

Cut twice a month on the prior close before the 2nd and the 16th, then live for the next session.

  2. Universe

Large and mega caps + liquid sector ETFs; sector rotation, not thin story stocks.

  3. One read

Bulletin + model book share one regime read (TRH) — editorial commentary, not a signal.

  4. Sleeves

Growth, Income, Defensive and Bills sleeves — the Defensive sleeve is a basket of assets that have hedged in different regimes, carried only while their own momentum confirms it.

  5. Rotation read

Since October 13, 2026 the Elite rotation read governs the growth sleeve: a name holds a slot only while it reads leading or improving against the index, and the desk consensus — the names the Rotation, Hot Assets and Radar reads agree on — lends up to two names.

  6. Weekly read

The desk consensus is read weekly on the book's clock, every name with its volume: relative volume and whether a breakout over its six-month high came on volume, on light volume, or failed.

  7. Guardrail

The leader's channel is read against the antagonist sector's breakout: a failed breakout on light volume, with tech names back in the consensus, says a rotation is not confirmed. When the consensus has turned defensive while the growth sleeve is still tech, the leader sits in the lower third of its channel and the money is seen moving, the AB Defensive Guardrail — ten consensus names at equal weight — takes the growth sleeve until the scheduled cut.

  8. Editor's decision

The rules cut first. Any line the editor keeps, adds or excludes is named in the edition note with its reason and funded from the bills line — never silent, never retroactive.

  9. Volume last

On the first trading day of the month, day-one volume is read last: it can confirm, trim or drop a name, never add one that failed an earlier step.

The full rules are published in the Maximum Adaptive Market Adherence (MAMA) paper.
